So, Boogie and I will be paddling across Scotland to raise money for Patterdale Mountain Rescue. The folks you don’t mind meeting in a pub but you don’t want to be seeing them on the mountains because it probably means you’re in a bit of bother.

…but if you are in bother, you probably do what to see them… but you don’t want to be in bother in the first place… but it’s good to know they’re there if you need them… oh whatever!

Grandad supported Patterdale Mountain Rescue and the crucial rescue work that they continue to do and so do I and, at the time of writing, so do 26 people and a sheep.

To chip in a bit, we’ll be setting off from Fort William on Monday 31st July and, if Nessy doesn’t get us first, will arrive in Inverness sometime on Friday evening having paddled about 100k across three lochs taking our kit to support ourselves on the way. There are no nice hotel beds, just a tent and a sleeping bag.
