I am running the Southend Half Marathon to raise awareness of the Carli Lansley Foundation.

Carli Lansley sadly passed away in 2017 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS). Carli was just 36 years old at the time of her death.The aim of the Carli Lansley Foundation is to provide free ECG screening days for young people aged 14-35. All screening days are held in the Southend On Sea area to help detect any undiagnosed heart conditions.

They also fund the installation of defibrillators in prime locations in the local community.

If you can help support by sponsoring me to run the Southend Half Marathon, your donations will be going towards a screening day or a defibrillator installation in our local community. Both potentially life saving.

If you have children, family members or you are between the age of 14-35 you are able to sign up to the next screen day which is being held at Roots Hall on 24/25 June 23. I am on the list for this screening day to get checked.
