Story
Pancreatic cancer is not rare and is responsible for 5.2% of all cancer deaths in the UK each year. Late diagnosis is a major issue that requires funding and research to increase the speed at which it can be diagnosed and treated. Currently, 80% of patients are diagnosed when the cancer is already metastatic, leaving them with a prognosis of 2-6 months.
Sadly a friend of mine lost his mum to pancreatic cancer, and current statistics show that more will lose family and friends to this disease over the course of my lifetime.
Please help me in supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK with any donations you can to reach my goal of £500, and potentially more.
Cost of the skydive (£299) will be covered myself and all donations will be used to support the charity.
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
