Whether because of head injury, tumour, stroke, haemorrhage or neurological infection, the effects of a brain injury can be life-changing and life-long. That’s why, when the unthinkable happens, expert help is vital.

On 19 April 2026, I'll be running my first marathon and I am fundraising for Headway. In 2020, I experienced a brain injury and later received support from and also volunteered for the charity. Having been injured myself and met many people in local communities - as well as knowing family members - who have experienced brain injuries, I know how important support groups and other services can be for those impacted.
