WHAT I AM FUNDRAISING FOR:

Funds towards The Community Hub at Burlington Church.

The Community Hub is the building of partnerships shared projects and joint ventures all for the good of the community.

THE VISION:

The Community Hub will include a coffee shop, space for young people to hang out, and will host a variety of partner organisations, from healthcare to social services to provide those in our community who need it most, with a safe place to come and get support or to just be.

We aim to create a welcoming space where the community can flourish spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. The land was originally given with the intention of social and spiritual transformation, and we desire to continue this legacy. With your support, we will develop a shared space offering opportunities for growth, connection, and healing.

We are inspired by God’s heart for people, especially the vulnerable. Rooted in biblical principles like Isaiah 58:10, “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” Another key passage is in the book of Ezekiel chapter 47 which shares a vision of a river flowing out from a place where God is worshipped to the community around.
