Story
A dedicated team of six Sixth Form students from Prestatyn High School, in their final year of A level studies, is preparing to take on the ultimate endurance test: the National Three Peaks Challenge. From 23 to 26 June 2026, the group will attempt to summit the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales over three consecutive days to raise vital funds for Help for Heroes.
The Sixth Form team—comprised of Joshua Nield(17), Isuru De Silva Wijeyaratna(19), Matteo Evans-Ford(18), Menula Hewage(18), Callum Welch(18), and Jake Orger(17)—will tackle the peaks in a demanding 72-hour window, dedicating one full day to each iconic mountain.
Driven by a desire to support the UK’s veterans and their families, the Sixth Formers chose Help for Heroes for the charity’s vital work in providing physical, mental, and financial support to those wounded or injured in the line of duty.
Veterans & their families face their toughest battles yet. Painful injuries. Mental trauma. Disability. Isolation.
