To help celebrate National Star learners returning to the slopes of Arinsal, Andorra we are tracking how many miles they collectively ski as part of National Star’s Go Far be a Star fundraising campaign.

Learners have worked hard in education, life-skills, and therapy to prepare for this experience with many needing to develop their physical strength, balance and coordination, whilst others have been considering how to manage their fatigue levels to enable them to fully participate in the learning experience.

For other students this will be their residential for their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award with them due to complete their expeditions later this year.

The Ski Learning Experience provides an incredible opportunity for learners to put the skills they learn at college into action and gain vital evidence towards their accreditations and therapy goals whilst also having fun and travelling with their peers.

For all of the learners, this experience is the accumulation of many hours of work to help them achieve their individual goals and aspirations with the support of National Star’s multidisciplinary team.

The money that the skiers raise will go towards furnishing and equipping a new specialist residential accommodation at National Star. Thank you for helping them Go Far.
