Story
5 climbers and a Craig
A group of five men and our driver, Craig are looking to complete the national 3 peaks challenge on 01/09/2025. This includes summiting the three tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within a 24 hour period. Oli, Ben, Sam, Alex and Louis are taking on this challenge after climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike separately over the past few years.
This is a tough personal challenge for all of us but the choice to fundraise was made after receiving the worst news in February 2025. Oli lost his mum, Caroline after a battle with secondary breast cancer at the young age of 64. She was an amazing, brave strong woman until the end and never once complained about the troubles she faced.
Each of us are completing this challenge whilst keeping someone special in our thoughts-
Alex is hiking in loving memory of his Nan and we will be keeping his Grandad in our thoughts as he faces his own battle with cancer.
Ben will be hiking in memory of his Nan, Jean Margaret Brockman and Grandad, Alan Jon Everett. Jean battled bravely against gall bladder cancer and Alan stomach cancer.
Louis is hiking for his Grandmother, Della Cumpstey and his Grandfather, Alan Cumpstey. Della passed away after developing pancreatic cancer and Alan died as a result of lung cancer.
This is also for anyone else that has experienced cancer in their lifetime as it affects everyone and we want to promote the amazing work that Macmillan and all the other Cancer charities do.
We have set a goal of £1000 but will be happy to receive any donations, big or small! We promise to give it our absolute all in an attempt to conquer this challenge within the 24 hour period and make everyone proud of us.
