Navin's fundraiser for Pestalozzi International

Navin Thapa is raising money for Pestalozzi International
In memory of Lady Diana Butler, Mr. Peter Ballard & Mrs. Valerie Ballard and Mr. Donald Elphick
Pestalozzi International transforms lives by educating and supporting exceptional children from disadvantaged communities, helping them fulfil their potential and become leaders who make the world a better place.

Story

I want to acknowledge these four remarkable figures in my life as well as their notable legacies to Pestalozzi Village. Lady Diana Butler was an instrumental figure in shaping Pestalozzi International Children Village Trust (PCVT) to undertake international operations with Pestalozzi Overseas Children's Trust (POCT) and Pestalozzi World. Sir Richard Butler and Lady Butler also found their long-term friend Svante Pahlson-Moller to sponsor my education in Pestalozzi Village in UK.

Mr. Donald Elphick was my Science teacher at Claverham Community College (CCC) and Mrs. Caroline Elphick raised funds for our education in Pestalozzi Village. Mr. Peter Ballard and Mrs. Valerie Ballard were our History teachers at CCC and Mrs. Ballard was also the Governor of Pestalozzi International Village in 1990s, became my guardians while I attended St. George's Hospital Medical School, University of London and University College London (UCL) after my O levels from Claverham Community College and A levels from Bexhill College.

Their support was instrumental in my career since returning back to help set up and working for a decade in the new medical school in Nepal called Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS); then working for a decade as Director of Resource Mobilization & Advocacy and Director General of International Planned Parenthood Federation Member Association, FPA Nepal. Late Lady Butler and Sir Richard Butler also made me member of the Asian Committee of the POCT, I am . Currently, I am Provost of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS) which is an academic, research and healthcare providing organization in Nepal.

I want to help these disadvantaged and most deserving young people in Nepal who have been sponsored by Pestalozzi International from the age of 12-18 to undertake further Higher Education in colleges or universities. Your donation will go to sponsor these young people in Nepal to study nursing, medical studies, laboratory technology as well as other subjects including supporting their plans to set up business or such projects as Pestalozzi International nurtures bright children from disadvantaged backgrounds, develops their potentials and gives them the best gift in life: a quality education using their "Head, Heart and Hands". Your support transforms young lives, creating leaders who give back and uplift entire communities.
