I'm Nayana Mena, a 22-year-old multimedia journalist from East London, proudly representing Jamaica in Miss Caribbean UK 2025. I'm passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices and using storytelling as a force for social impact. Whether it’s through my work in media or volunteering with my church’s youth choir, I believe in building strong, empowered communities.

I'm fundraising for Sistah Space, a charity that means a great deal to me. They provide crucial support for African and Caribbean heritage women who have experienced domestic violence and sexual abuse. As a young Black woman who has experienced domestic abuse and coercive control, I understand how essential culturally specific support is.

Sistah Space has been a lifeline for our community for 10 years, but the need is far from over.

This fundraiser is part of my journey through Miss Caribbean UK, where I’m using my platform to create awareness, celebrate culture, and raise funds for meaningful causes like this. I’m organising a creative community event, raising awareness online to educate and inspire action.
