Story
In summer 2023, our wonderful friend Charlotte was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma, a brain tumour with a poor prognosis. We’ve all known Charlotte for many years, and she tackled this news like everything else in her life, with grace, strength and bravery. She took on her treatment like a champion, and anyone who knows her knows how brilliant she has been in the face of such a tough time. She’s an incredible friend, and we just want to do our bit to try and make a difference.
This challenge won’t be easy, but if anything can get us through this it’s knowing that we might be able to stop people from going through this in future. Charlotte doesn’t deserve to go through this, no one does.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a 24.5 mile walk, climbing Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, with the challenge to summit all three peaks in 12 hours.
One in three people know someone affected by a brain tumour and brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this! All money raised from our challenge will go directly to Brain Tumour Research.
