I'm taking part in RUN Barnstaple 2026 to raise vital funds for Children's Hospice South West.

For those of you who know me, you know how much I hate running...but also that I'm convinced if I do it enough I'll love it someday. If you've got a second, I'd appreciate you taking a second to read below why i'm running the Barnstaple Half this September.

Children's Hospice South West supports children, their siblings and families across the South West. As a medical student and soon as a junior doctor in Derriford Hospital, I've seen how vital services like this are for children with life limiting conditions and their families.

🏃 £86 could help to fund 1 hour of care for a family at one of their children’s hospices

🏃 £150 could support a family through the early stages of their bereavement journey

🏃 £250 could help fund a weekend of sibling support for a brother or sister

🏃 £720 could cover the food bill for one of the hospice kitchens for 1 week
