The staff and families at Neasden Primary School are proud to have their main fundraising event each year for Cancer Research UK. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetime.

Race for Life is an opportunity for us to not only raise funds to fight cancer but also for us to come together as a community to celebrate the people in our lives that have been affected by this terrible disease.

All the money you raise goes towards life-changing work. You’re helping scientists work towards a world where everybody lives longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer. Every donation big or small helps;

£18 buys a microscope micrometer, which scientists use to measure the size of tumours and learn more about how they grow.

£65 buys special chemicals called restriction enzymes that work like molecular scissors to cut up the long strands of DNA in our cells.

£1000 is the cost of running Cancer Chat for one day, helping thousands of people through very difficult times.
