Crossing the Bay – Sunday 3rd August
This weekend, I’m taking on the Morecambe Cross Bay Walk—a 6–9 mile route across sand, sea channels and shifting ground, from Arnside to Grange-over-Sands.
It’s not something you get to do every day. The route changes with the tides, and parts of it will be wet, unpredictable, and a bit of a challenge—which is exactly why I’m doing it.
I’m walking to raise money for the MS Therapy Centre North West, a charity that supports people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions. The Centre provides physical therapies, oxygen treatment, emotional support and more—all to help people manage their condition and live fuller, more independent lives.
This cause matters to me personally. My grandma had MS, so I understand how difficult and limiting it can be—not just for the person diagnosed, but for their family too.
Right now, the Centre is trying to raise £250,000 to complete the renovation of its new building. The funds will help open up much-needed treatment rooms, a gym, consultation spaces, and group support areas—making a real difference for the people who rely on the Centre now, and in the future.
If you'd like to support me, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks for reading—and wish me luck crossing the bay.
