On the 23rd of April I will be running the London Marathon in aid of South/ Mid Wales Cave Rescue. As a caver myself, raising money for the charity is very important to me for many reasons; primarily as I was recently involved in a rescue myself! They are a charity so rely solely on generous donations, meaning any amount of money raised can be spent on rescues, kit and the training of new rescuers. Being a member of the Cardiff University Caving and Canyoning Club means that we put trust in the brilliant work of the rescuers to hypothetically (and sometimes not so hypothetically) get us out!

Any amount of money donated would mean a huge amount to me due to the amount of training required to run the marathon (a lot of it underground) and I'm sure the organisation itself, who are appreciative of any donations to fund their life saving work.
