Inspired by the older brother I thought it was about time to take on a challenge of my own to raise some money for the incredible charity that is Horatio’s Garden… with this in mind I’ve signed up for the full-distance Austrian Ironman…

The Austrian Ironman is essentially a rather long triathlon…. Starting with a 3.8km swim, you then take on a 180.2km bike and then finish with a marathon run (42.2km). With limited talent in any of these departments, it’s certainly going to be a challenge.

All proceeds will be going to Horatio’s garden, a charity that nurtures the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. Starting locally in Salisbury it’s now growing quickly around the UK and it’s properly changing people’s lives, all patients and staff that work there are inspiring and we hope this little challenge in some way can contribute to helping anyone in need in the setup.
