In a moment of madness we both decided to sign up to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May 2025. Its not only a personal challenge for us both but also for the love of dogs!

If you know us you will know that both of our lives are run by a dogs!! We are both blessed to have and have had some amazing dogs to share our time with. Dogs deserve a happy healthy life and DogsTrust aligns with our values. We want to help by raising as much money as we can to help those dogs that need it.

I have never ran more than a 10k and have never been a natural runner really. To run 13.1 miles is a huge challenge to me. Over the past 3months I have faced a really difficult time with my Dad being very unwell and have spent time living with parents in Suffolk. My training programme has been very disrupted but despite the stress and strain I am under, I have done my best to continue to fit in some runs. My Dad is my hero and someone i look up to immensely. He was a cross crountry runner as a youngster and I want him to see me complete this challenge and make him proud. This is what motivates me and pushes me on despite the difficult times my family are going through.
