I’ve decided to do the walk of 100 kilometres over the month of September for Sands.

It’s very close to our heart and nothing prepares you for this loss at the time it happens. It’s a lifelong effect and one we live most days in our thoughts. Sands were there for us as well as many other people we learnt thereafter in our situation, and have been for many years.

One in two of us, or somebody we know, has experienced the loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby. Too often, we don’t understand why. That’s why we need to take action.

Using our combined power to inspire change and prevent babies from dying. Our steps won't go unnoticed, and the sponsorship we collect will lead to action – saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Please step forward in memory of every much-loved baby and create a legacy of change.
