This April, I’m taking on the London Marathon in support of Innovation for Agriculture (IfA) — a charity that helps farmers protect the land, animals, and environment we all rely on.

Most of my running has always been done in the quiet of the countryside — across fields, mud, and uneven ground. That’s where I feel at home.

So stepping onto the hard tarmac of London’s streets for 26.2 miles isn’t just a physical challenge for me — it’s an emotional one. It’s leaving the comfort of open fields to run through one of the busiest cities in the world, all for a cause that means something real.

I’m doing this because farming matters.

Our land matters.

Our future matters.

Innovation for Agriculture works with farmers to bring new ideas, sustainable practices, and real change to the industry — helping protect soil, water, biodiversity, and the livelihoods of the people who grow our food. Supporting them means supporting the future of farming, the countryside we love, and the communities that depend on it.

When the miles get tough — and they will — I’ll be thinking about that.

I’ll be thinking about why I’m running, who I’m running for, and the people who believed in this enough to donate.
