What is Craniosynostosis?

Craniosynostosis is a rare craniofacial condition where two or more plates of the skull prematurely fuse to each other, usually before birth. Headlines is very close to my heart, as a person living with a craniofacial condition, I cannot speak more highly of the work carried out by Headlines. Headlines supports not only those living with craniofacial conditions but their families too and has, in the last few years, developed specialist support groups for both young people (16 - 30 years old) and dads.

Having undergone some 20 major surgeries by the time I was 18, missing out on social development but also my education, I was often "written off" by teachers and peers as a "lost cause" and I believe I can use my experience to help others who may be going through a similar journey, so they know they are not alone and there is a brighter future ahead of them.
