I am taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Friends of Frank Wise, a charity that supports Frank Wise School, a truly amazing school that has been helping children with special educational needs in our community for decades.

The National 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The challenge includes climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland at 1,345 metres, Scafell Pike in England at 978 metres and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in Wales at 1,085 metres.

In total, the challenge covers around 23 miles of hiking with over 3,000 metres of climbing. That means long days, tired legs and very little sleep, but it feels like a small challenge compared to what many children and families overcome every day.

My son has attended Frank Wise for over three years and during that time I have seen first hand the incredible difference this school makes. The commitment, care and hard work of the teachers and staff goes far beyond education. They create an environment where children are supported, encouraged and given the opportunity to grow and develop in ways that have a huge impact on their lives and the lives of their families.

My son absolutely loves going to school and over the past three years we have seen just how much of a positive impact Frank Wise has had on him and on us as a family. Seeing him happy, excited to go to school and being part of an environment where he is understood and supported means everything to us.

I want to raise as much money as possible to support the amazing work they do so they can continue helping children and families like mine for many years to come. Any donation, big or small, would mean a great deal and is hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
