Story

Martin Cullen, Neil Danner, Matthew McCrudden & James Doublet-Stewart are gearing up for the very challenging Wigan 10k road race this September 1st, and we need your support!

We’re running to raise funds for The Brick in Wigan—a charity that has been a lifeline in our community for over 100 years. Originally known as the Queen’s Hall Mission, The Brick continues to provide vital, practical support to those facing homelessness, poverty, and hardship.

As we prepare for this tough race, we are seeking sponsorship to help ensure that The Brick can continue its incredible work. Every donation counts and will go directly towards helping local people in need.

Your sponsorship will motivate us as we tackle this challenging course and make a real impact in our community. Together, we can keep The Brick strong and provide hope to those who need it most. Please reach out if you’d like to support!

The Brick's aim is to eradicate homelessness and poverty in our community. We support homeless people, those facing homelessness, and people experiencing crisis or poverty in the Wigan borough. People who are marginalised by society, who can, with support, become independent and contribute positively to their communities. Services include crisis intervention, housing and health support on behalf of the Council, a foodbank, social and employment training, and wide-ranging volunteering opportunities. We ensure no one in our community gets left behind.
