I am taking part in The Walk, c250 miles, from Llangwm, Pembrokeshire to Birmingham in June 2025.

It finishes on Father's Day, 15 June 2025.

I walk for my Dad, Wally Hames, who passed away on 22 March 2020 and the reason who The Walk was founded .

He passed away during national lockdown of March 2020, it meant only 6 people attended his funeral. As all attending were from different households, the family could not travel together, sit together, having to socially distance. The family was unable to grieve together or support each other. There was no celebration of life, the wider family, friends and colleagues could not bid him farewell, offering the goodbye that he deserved.
