Story
So many young people that I work with face struggles with their mental health. I am running the Berlin Marathon in September 2026 and I want to use the event to help raise vital funds for a much needed organisation. I have been using Place2Be’s materials in Smithycroft Secondary for years, and have seen the benefits that they bring. Please join me in supporting children's mental health by sponsoring me in the Berlin Marathon 2026 with #TeamPlace2Be.
As the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, Place2Be provides vital support to children, families, school staff and youthworkers when they need it most. With 1 in 5 children and young people now experiencing a probable mental health problem, it's more important than ever to ensure that every child has easy access to mental health support, whenever they need it. By donating to my fundraiser, you can help make a real difference in the lives of children who are struggling with their mental health.
The Berlin Marathon is an incredible event that brings together people from all over the world. Having just got back from taking a group of 20 young people there, the city is perfect for running and has such an iconic finish line at Brandenburg Gate, a fantastic symbol of unity and hope. I am thrilled to be participating in this marathon and raising funds for such an important cause.
If you are able, please donate today and help ensure that young people don't have to face mental health problems alone, and that all people working with them are able to be well resourced. Every donation counts towards helping to continue and increase the support offered to our young people.
