Neil's fundraiser for HARROW MS THERAPY CENTRE

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for The Harrow M.S Therapy Centre which is looking to build a new centre.
In 2020, I became a wheelchair user and I have been going to The Harrow MS Therapy Centre every Friday for one hour.
While I am there I use the VOT (wobble board) for circulation. My favourite piece of equipment.
Walking practice using the bars. The physios do more work moving my legs than I do. I lift my heel off the floor by 1-2 inches depending on the weakness in my legs that day and the physio do the rest by bringing the legs through. This exercise takes 2 physios, one to be in front of me manipulating my legs and a second physio walking behind with my wheelchair for me when I need to sit down.
Standing frame to help work on placing weight through Legs and upper body exercises
Wheelchair-sitting exercise bike.
The social side of the centre is priceless.
I go swimming 3-4 days a week. I swim breaststroke and my legs just get dragged behind like a dead weight. I have excellent upper body strength.
I am taking on the Channel Swim 2024 to swim 22 miles, but depending on how long it takes me to swim the 22 miles, and if I do it well within the time frame and have enough time I will swim back swimming 44 miles in the 3-month time limit.
Thank you for reading my page and donating to a cause close to my heart.
