The earthquake has had a devastating impact throughout north-west Syria, while most of the country has been under sanctions for the 12 years of its civil war. Some international earthquake relief has come to those north-western areas accessible via limited border openings, however Syrians in Aleppo, Ḥamāh and Latakia are in desperate need. The Next Century Foundation (NCF), a UK non-government organisation with decades of conflict resolution experience, is raising money to bring medical supplies to those Syrians with little international support. Right now, NCF has its volunteer Ja'afar El-Ahmar using your donations to buy medical supplies in Lebanon and ferry them personally to hospitals in Syria.
