I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I admire the work of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation in counselling those adults at risk of causing harm to children. I prepared to run the Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday March 23 to raise funds for the LFF and hoped to do so in under 100 minutes. In the event I ran the course alone on Tuesday May 25 as the official event was cancelled. My time was over 115 minutes but I’m pleased to have done it.
