It is time for another epic cycling challenge!

In 2013 I joined a group of 15 cyclists, along with Matt the trusty van driver, to ride from Blackpool Tower in England to the Eiffel Tower in Paris (‘Tower to Tower’).

It was an amazing experience and the group have continued taking on similar cycle challenges every second year since, whilst also raising money for a diverse range of charities.

As it is the 10th anniversary of the first challenge, the same group of riders have decided to do ‘Tower to Tower 2’ and again ride from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower. Le Grand Depart will be on Saturday 26th August and we will be cycling 850 km in one week to get to Paris.

This year all of the riders will be raising awareness and, with your help and generosity, some money for the Aspergillosis Trust.

Lisa McNeil, the wife of co-cyclist Darren, suffers from this rare, debilitating, and sometimes deadly disease. It is a condition that is becoming more and more prominent.

The vision of the Aspergillosis Trust is to achieve the best outcomes for all aspergillosis patients, until such time as a cure can be found. They have an aspiration to support research into the disease and mycology generally that can help improve health outcomes for patients.
