Neil's fundraiser for Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Support Group

Three Peaks Challenge · 7 October 2023 to 9 October 2023 ·
On the 7th October I will do The Three Peaks Challenge - by climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon), one after another, within 24 hours.
It's going to be quite a test for me. And it's all to support a great friend of over 20 years, Rich, and his daughter Emmeline.
Rich's story is below. I'm really grateful for your support and encouragement, for such a fantastic charity.
Neil
Our amazing daughter, Emmeline, was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS) shortly after birth. It started our journey in supporting her through the challenges she has faced and made every milestone achieved an absolute joy to witness!
We have benefitted as a family from the information, research and community that the Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Support Group has provided since we received her diagnosis.
The money raised from the Three Peaks Challenge will contribute towards the RTS Support Group’s co-funding of a PhD student with Aston University to carry out research into mental health in RTS, as well as providing other RTS families with vital support, both of which will be a huge help in Emmeline’s development.
If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most gratefully received.
Rich
The RTS Support Group is a registered charity funded almost entirely by fundraising and voluntary donations.
We exist to provide support to families and carers of people affected by RTS, raise awareness of RTS amongst the medical community, and encourage and support research into the cause and effects of RTS.
The charity supports individuals and families, produces and distributes information on research, medical and policy developments and arranges social family get-togethers to create a supportive network for RTS families.
