Story
Hi everyone,
I’m again running the London marathon in memory of my Dad who passed away when I was just 19 with pancreatic cancer, he has missed out on meeting my two wonderful children Marley & Polly as well as seeing me get married to Beth.
This time I’m planning to try and raise awareness differently, my first event I’m doing will be a 24 hour run! This will be completed at Par running track and see me running for 24 hours straight, i also have some other events in the pipeline that I hope will raise awareness, the reason I’m doing this is simple, I want to help people have more time with family and friends, I’ve posted some information below that further explains how pancreatic cancer is affecting people and their lives.
The challenges I will be taking on are just a little way of me being able to help and support in the only way I know how.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
