Story

With the fantastic support of KPMG, I’ll be doing the 2024 Marathon Des Sables. Some of you will be familiar with the event, many of you will not (probably reflects well). I’ll be trying to run 250 kms in 5 days in the Sahara. Please please please can I ask for your financial support to help me complete the event? Can I suggest that you support per km? 2p per KM would see you pledging £5, 10p per km………………….I’m sure you can do the maths.

Please also spare a thought for my training partner, Oscar, in the picture. It's just a shame that I won't have him with me at the race. He doesn't do deserts.

Marie Curie do a truly remarkable job in the provision of life changing support, giving the seriously ill care that makes so much difference to them and their loved ones, campaigning and challenging the system to provide a better end of life for all. In terms of understanding what your donation might be used for, here are the approximate costs of some of their main budget items.

£3 could pay for a meal for a hospice patient

£5 could heat a hospice for an hour

£23 could provide an hour of nursing care

£32 could provide an hour of hospice bereavement care

Thank you so much
