Story

We have decided to take part in The Great Wall of China trek in October 2026 on behalf of the St Michael's Hospice.

The trek starts in Gubeikou then travels to Jinshanling and we finish in Simatai, the walk will be challanging due to the terrain. We will walk between 26 and 30 hours over many different sections of the wall. Some parts of the walk will be very challenging, as there are less visited sections, which are almost completely worn away. However, we are willing to tackle the challange and raise as much as we can for St Michael's.

We have decided to take parts in this event to support this amazing charity, St Michael's Hospice play a huge part in the community. They have touched the lives of so many people accross Hereford and the surrounding areas. The hospice requires around £14,000 per day to cover the operational costs, the majority is funded through the local community, relying heavily on donations.

We have lots of exciting events planned and would love all your support in helping us raise money for St Michaels Hospice, some of your sponsorship money will be used to pay for the cost of the trip. Attending our events, donating prizes, sharing fundraising ideas, will have a massive impact on us meeting our goal!

The walk will be very challanging, mentally and physically, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which we are excited to take part in.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated, no matter how large or small! We would like to thank you for all the support.

Thank you!
