In memory of Grace Pritchard

3 Peak Challenge · 29 May 2026

Molly Rose Foundation exists to prevent suicide in the under-25s. Acting at the intersect of online safety, suicide prevention and mental health we hold tech companies, governments and regulators to account to make the online world safe for young people. We also offer education, help and support to give young people the tools and voice they need to live long and stay strong.

Story

Hi all,

On May 29th, my brother Callum, friends, and I will be undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Molly Rose Foundation in memory of my sister, Grace.

Grace was my little sister. She was incredibly talented, funny, and caring; loved by everyone who knew her. Last August, at the age of 23, she took her own life after years of struggling with her mental health. The aim of the Molly Rose Foundation is suicide prevention, specifically for those under the age of 25. That is why we are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge: to raise funds in Grace’s memory and help prevent other families from experiencing the same loss.

Molly Rose Foundation

Each year in the UK, around 6,000 people lose their lives to suicide, with young people under the age of 25 making up approximately 10% of this number. Since 2007, there has been a general increase in the UK suicide rate, and the Mental Health Foundation estimates that one in fifteen people will attempt suicide at some point in their lives.

The Molly Rose Foundation believes that suicide can be prevented by raising awareness among the general public and by teaching young people to speak more openly about their feelings, reinforcing that it is okay not to be okay. The charity works to reach those at risk of suicide and connect them to the help, support, and practical advice they need. It also works alongside policymakers and tech companies to create a safer online world and prevent future harm.

Three Peaks Challenge

On May 29th, my brother Callum, eight close friends, and I will be undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge. This challenge involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours. In total, it will be approximately 23 miles of hiking, with a total ascent of around 3,000 metres and 462 miles of driving. I couldn't think of a better group to do this with, and I am very thankful for their help organising this and support in general.

It is exactly the kind of thing Grace would never have wanted to do, but we hope it will help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.

Anything you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
