At our 20 week scan, our world changed forever. We had to say goodbye to our precious daughter Nellie. It’s the hardest thing we have ever had to do. In the midst of the heartache, we were given space and time to be with her, to hold her, love her, and begin to grieve, thanks to the Butterfly Suite at Arrowe Park Hospital.

The care we received is something we will never forget. The Butterfly Suite gave us privacy, dignity, and support in the most painful moments of our lives and the staff were truly amazing.

We will be walking up Snowdon to raise money for Elsie’s Moon, a charity that supports families who sadly experience baby loss. They work closely with hospitals such as Arrowe Park to fund and provide vital resources for grieving families.

No one should ever have to go through this, and we truly wish we never had to come across this charity, but for those who do need it, Elsie’s Moon makes a difference. We’re fundraising in memory of our baby girl Nellie and for the kindness we were shown.
