The ICB Secret Santa Appeal - Kelly Angus

I have nominated The People's Kitchen in Newcastle. They support local people in need who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, unemployed and vulnerable including those who are lovely and living in poverty here in the north east.
This year's campaign 'Feed a Friend for a Fiver' is a great alternative to Christmas cards and enables the charity to provide a three-course Christmas dinner as well as offering a warm environment on Christmas Day to those in need.
Being warm, clean, clothed, fed and having someone to talk to, is something so many of us take for granted, but for many of the People's Kitchen's Friends that is just not the case.
The People's Kitchen provides a safe space for their Friends to have a hot meal, a warm drink and use the bathroom.
They are open 365 days, serving 250-300 meals each day. They operate entirely with volunteers and receive no government funding.
They rely on the generosity of the public to raise the funds we need - please support us so we can support others.
