Hi everyone

On the 11th May, I'll be running the Bristol Half Marathon for the Amber Townson Foundation and would hugely appreciate your support.

Amber was such a wonderfully happy, beautiful little girl. She had the cheekiest smile, was full of life and just so much fun to be around. We miss her so much and I continue to cherish the memories I have of her and my son Harrison and the precious time we got to spend together. That's why I want to do my bit to personally honour Amber's memory.

The Amber Townson Foundation was founded in loving memory of Amber, who tragically passed away from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) in 2023. SUDC is the unexpected death of a child aged between 1-18 years old that remains unexplained. Around 40 children in the UK are affected by SUDC every year, comparable to 1-2 seemingly healthy children dying every fortnight, often going to sleep and devastatingly never waking up.

The Foundation's mission is to support grieving families, raise awareness and to drive and fund critical research for SUDC to ensure that one day, no parent will ever have to endure the heartbreak of losing a child without reason.

It's been over 6 years (pre-two kids and a more robust pelvic floor 🥴), since I last did any running of this sort distance, so I've dusted off my trainers and have been getting out there for training runs over the last few weeks. Your support means everything and will hopefully help me run that little bit faster for Amber on the day!
