This May, I’ll be taking on the Hackney Half Marathon to raise vital funds for Haven House Children’s Hospice—a cause incredibly close to my heart. Having worked here for nearly four years, I have seen firsthand the transformative impact this hospice has on children and families in our local community.

Children’s hospices like Haven House provide so much more than end-of-life care. They are a lifeline, offering holistic support for the entire family—mums, dads, siblings, grandparents—helping them navigate the most challenging times with compassion and care. Yet, despite the critical services we offer, there are up to 3,000 children in our community who could benefit from hospice care but aren’t accessing it.

If you’re inspired, I encourage you to look into your own local hospice to learn more, volunteer, or support them in any way you can. Hospices are vital to our communities, and together, we can ensure they continue to make a difference.
