Nerys's fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Walking Challenge
Many of you will know that in August 2023, my Mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She put up a good fight, but on Friday 28th June at 7.25pm she sadly but peacefully passed away. It feels so sad and strange to write this, but this walking challenge is now in her memory 💜
I wanted to do something to raise help raise awareness of this disease by undertaking a walking challenge. I really wanted to take on a running challenge but due to breaking my foot last year I’m unable to do this, so instead I plan to walk 60 miles every month for 5 months, starting on the 1st April and finishing on 31st August.
Anyone who would like to join me on any of the walks I do, please feel free!
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
Thank you in advance for your support 💜 lots of love to you all xxx
