Story
In April I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon! This will be my first ever half marathon, and the furthest I’ve run by a very very long way.
I’m doing this to support The Pituitary Foundation – an incredible charity that I’ve had the joy of working for over the last year! The Foundation is the only charity in the UK supporting people affected by pituitary conditions.
A year and a half ago I had no idea how important the pituitary gland is or how many parts of the body it affects. Hearing real stories from people living with these conditions has been incredibly eye-opening.
The people I’ve met through the charity, especially our volunteers, have shown so much strength and resilience. So, running this half marathon feels like a small but meaningful way to show support and raise awareness beyond my day-to-day work.
I’m looking forward to having a run around the city I grew up in, and I’ve been promised I’ll see all the sights along the way!
