First Step Community Project is a Musselburgh-based charity supporting families with young children. They provide early years childcare, parent and child groups such as Bookbug, outreach and one-to-one family support, and a welcoming community space where families can connect, build confidence and feel supported. Their work helps parents and children thrive during the vital early years and beyond.

First Step has played such a huge part in my first two years of motherhood. I started coming here with Rue when she was just 8 weeks old, and I still use the facilities every week. She absolutely loves it and so do I! It’s been such a supportive, welcoming space for both of us and I would love to give back :)
