Story
Please support Neve as her and her friends take on a 40 mile sponsored walk. Raising money for both The Malcolm Whales foundation and also the inspirational Millie Blair.
The Dorset Walk is an annual event, ran by her school (Prince William Oundle) that involves walking 40 miles along the challenging terrain of the Jurassic Coast. The walk starts along the seafront at Weymouth on Friday and finishes at Studland Beach on Sunday.
The Dorset walk started in 2009 with 30 students and staff from Ely College. It was going to be a one off.
However, what we stumbled on was something quite special. Over a 15 years later and thousands of participants later. It has become an annual event that introduces and impacts on hundreds people each year.
The Malcolm Whales Foundation is a fundraising cancer charity in memory of Malcolm Whales.
Following his death in 2008, to honor Malcolm’s memory, Damien his son set out to create a legacy in his name.
Alongside this foundation Neve and her friends will walk for Millie. Millie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma bone cancer on her 11th birthday and has since undergone an above the knee amputation. A talented footballer and show jumper she now has her sights set on the paralympics and her family are raising money for the best possible prosthetic leg to help her achieve her dreams. Donations received will be split between the charities.
