Every Month, 127 Children in the UK Lose a Parent.

That’s 127 young lives turned upside down — children waking up without the comfort of a parent, families trying to rebuild in the face of unimaginable loss.

Child Bereavement UK is there for them — for every grieving child, parent, and family — helping them navigate heartbreak, and supporting professionals to provide the care they so desperately need.

This July, we’re walking in honour of every single one of those 127 children.

Here at New Road, a group of brave student ambassadors — who know the pain of losing a parent all too well — are taking on an extraordinary challenge. Not only are they committing to walk 127km, but they’re doing it in just 5 hours. That’s 320 laps of our athletics track — powered by resilience, courage, and a shared desire to turn their grief into hope for others.

They are walking for every child who will face the pain they know too well. For every family who needs a lifeline. For every moment when someone needs to hear: you are not alone.
