Newmarket's fundraiser for Stroke Association

Newmarket Catering Team is raising money for Stroke Association

The 24-hour 3 Peaks Challenge · 7 May 2026

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

The Jockey Club Catering, Newmarket Racecourse Team consisting of Kat, Richard, Brandon, Millie & Jonathan are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge — climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon in just 24 hours, on the 7th & 8th May — to raise vital funds for the Stroke Association.

This challenge means so much to us, as Kat in our department recently suffered a stroke. Experiencing this so close to home has opened our eyes to just how suddenly a stroke can change someone’s life. We want to do everything we can to support the Stroke Association in their mission to help more people not only survive a stroke but rebuild their lives afterwards.

Every five minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke. The Stroke Association is there to provide life-saving support, fund groundbreaking research, and campaign for better stroke care. By raising money, we’re helping to fund this incredible work — from specialist nurses who guide families through recovery, to research projects that could prevent strokes in the future.

Our team of five is determined to push ourselves to the limit with this challenge. Alongside it, we’ll be organising bake sales, bucket collections at work, and other fundraising activities to raise as much as we possibly can.

We’d be so grateful for your support — every donation, no matter the size, will help make a real difference. Together, we can give hope to stroke survivors and their families.
