Story
We're a leading provider of NHS and private Ophthalmology services in Suffolk and North East Essex, with Eye Health Clinics, in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Owned and led by local Consultant Ophthalmologists, Raj Hanspal and Usman Hussain, alongside Rosemary Smith, Operational Director, we've directly cared for and protected the sight of over 24,000 local people, allowing them to get back to doing what they love.
Suffolk Sight is the sight-loss charity for Suffolk and who's purpose is to improve the lives of people affected by sight loss, throughout Suffolk.
They work hard to provide services that are friendly and practical, and to raise awareness of the different aspects of living with sight loss.
We feel our purposes align, and are therefore proud to have chosen Suffolk Sight as our charity partner, and we're on a mission to raise funds to enable Suffolk Sight to fund a Community Worker.
Community Workers offer services directly in the comfort and familiarity of someone's own home, and will carry out an initial assessment to establish how they can best help.
They are highly skilled and understand the issues that people face as they live their life with a visual impairment. They have extensive experience and knowledge of the opportunities and choices available, and tailor personalised advice and support which can include physical, financial and emotional support.
