Story
Help us take one more step towards outstanding dementia care.
Dad suffered from vascular dementia for many years. So, for me, this challenge is personal.

On 19 September 2026, I’ll be joining passionate and committed teams from across The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) for our staff-led Summit for Memories 2026 climb.
Together, we’re raising money for The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Charity’s Dementia Care Fund, supporting the things that can make a real difference to people living with dementia in hospital.
That includes reminiscence activities and therapies, dementia-friendly resources, staff education, and those important extras that can bring comfort, familiarity and connection at what can be a frightening and confusing time.

For me, every step up that mountain will carry a little of that hope for something better, for better memories with it. Because we’re climbing for the patients and families we care for today, and for the opportunity to make their experience of dementia care better, kinder and more human.
Everyone taking part is paying for their own travel and accommodation, so our fundraising can focus on supporting dementia care at PAHT.
We’re aiming to raise well over £1,000… and we need YOUR help to get there.
Please donate today.
Whether it’s £5, £10, £20 or more, every contribution is another step towards better care for people living with dementia.
And if you can’t donate, please share this appeal and help us reach someone who can.

We’ll take thousands of steps to reach the summit.
Help me to make every step, make a difference.
