On Sunday 21st April 2024 I’m going to be running the London Marathon!! (Ahhh!)

I’m running and fundraising for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, in memory of my cousin Daisy.

Daisy sadly lost her battle with leukaemia in December 2023 at the age of 13. I come from a big family and we are all devastated at the loss of Daisy. I want to help give back to this worthy charity that raises vital funds for the hospital and support families in similar circumstances who are needing care from Alder Hey.

From life saving equipment, research and innovation, to moments of magic - the charity try to, in their own words, ‘make the hospital experience the best it can be during a young person’s stay’.

My employer will fundmatch up to £500 meaning that any donations up to this amount will be doubled, helping to support the charity further.

Daisy loved football - she was a Wrexham FC season ticket holder and she didn’t miss a match, watching every game throughout her treatment and time in hospital. I will be giving it my all on the day around the 26.2mile course to reach the finish line with a Wrexham FC flag in hand - for Daisy 🌼
