Story
Our dear Mum, Margaret MacFlynn, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in January 2025. Up until that point Mum led a healthy, fit and active life…and was aged just 75.
As a family, we immediately pulled together to ensure that Mum had the best quality of life possible in the subsequent months, boosted by the huge support we received from the local carers, district nurses and of course, The Foyle Hospice, who were a huge pillar of strength for us and for Mum as her illness progressed
Mum sadly passed away peacefully at home on 13 August 2025, with her family by her side ❤️
After running Dublin in 2023 - and vowing to never run another one - I’ve decided to do it again this year in memory of Mum and to give something back to this incredible local charity - who were there for us - and for Mum - every step of the way
Thanks a million for your support 🙏
Niall
