Niall's 50@50 challenge

The Ulster Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a Charity dedicated to the objective clearly stated in its title, ‘The Prevention of Cruelty and the Relief of Suffering.’ It is the second oldest animal welfare charity in the world. The USPCA is 100% funded by voluntary donations.

Story

I currently work as a veterinary nurse for the USPCA. I am privileged to work for an organisation that is so passionate and committed to the support of animal welfare and the relief of suffering.

My 50@50 challenge is 50 events which will be completed over my 50th birthday year. These will be anything from 5k Parkruns, 10k races, cycle sportives to half marathons. My big 5 events will be half marathons. My first half marathon is Omagh on 26th March.

The USPCA is the second oldest animal charity in the world. Our missions are the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering in animals and the advancement of animal welfare. We offer a wide range of services to help reach these missions.

We have a wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release service which helps wild animals across Northern Ireland.

We are so grateful for every donation that helps us continue the work that we do from all the staff and animals we help, we send our thanks for your support.
