About Me
My name is Niall Guite and I’m a proud Special Olympics Great Britain athlete, artist and advocate for inclusion.
I’ve had the honour of representing Great Britain in basketball and cycling, winning gold medals at the 2015 and 2023 Special Olympics World Games. Sport has given me confidence, friendships and opportunities I never thought possible.
Alongside competing, I created Art with a Special Goal, designing detailed stadium artwork to raise money and awareness for people with intellectual disabilities. I also serve on the SOEE Athlete Leadership Team, using my voice to champion inclusion in sport and beyond.
Why I’m Running
This year I’m taking on the iconic 26.2-mile London Marathon for the very first time. It’s a huge personal challenge and something completely new for me.
During Covid I raised funds through the 2.6 Challenge, and now I’m stepping up to the full marathon to support the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games 2026. These Games are a celebration of fun, courage and community — and I want to help more athletes experience the same life-changing opportunities that I have.
Please Support My Run
Every donation helps me champion inclusion and create more opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the UK.
Thank you for supporting me on this journey — it truly means the world.
