The Myton Hospices - Coventry Half Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Help us raise £10,000 at this year's Coventry Half Marathon so we can continue providing our services to people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families...

Story

Our team is taking on the Coventry Half Marathon to raise funds for Myton Hospice, a cause that’s deeply meaningful to all of us. We have all experienced first-hand how cancer touches every family, and after Meg lost her wonderful grandad in May 2024, we knew we wanted to do something to make a difference.

Together, we decided to run for this amazing cause and to honour the memory of all our close family and friends who have faced similar battles. Meg’s grandad was a beloved dad, grandad, uncle, brother, and friend. Although he never made it to the hospice, Myton was there for the family during an incredibly difficult time, offering compassion and working to find him a place to spend his final days. Sadly, he passed away before that could happen, but the love and support from Myton left a lasting impact.

As friends—Meg, Ella, Niamh, Ciaran, and Daniel—we’ve come together to raise as much as we can for Myton Hospice and the incredible work they do. Myton provides exceptional care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families, whether in their inpatient units or within the community. Their dedication is extraordinary, but they need to raise £11 million each year to keep this vital work going.

We know we can’t do this alone, and neither can Myton. That’s where your support comes in. Any donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference and ensure they can continue to be there for other families when they need it most.

Please consider supporting our journey—we’re running for Myton, for the people they help, and for everyone who has been touched by their incredible care. Together, let’s make a difference!
